So maybe there could be a "Scenes Panel" or so (maybe in the new "Edit" page, where it's all about speed), where I could organise all my footage (specifically for editing), so maybe name each of the scenes/takes or attach notes to them or rate clips. But I was imagining that maybe Davinci would already make a file structure in the background from all the scenes and takes. So now I can sort the data by scene or take or good take, which is already very nice. But for example the Reel that is set on my camera is not available(at least not to my knowledge), there's only "Reel Name", but there's no data in any of the clips for this one. But then I found some of them in the Media Browser Column manager, they were just deactivated. I tried to find something in the manual, didn't really find what I was looking for. I couldn't find it the Media Browser or in the Metadata Panel.

When I first saw this feature I thought, wow Davinci surely has a very dynamic workflow ready for this data, that would make my editing a lot more efficient.īut when I imported my BRAW files into Davinci I wasn't even able to immediatley find that data (Reel, Scene, Take, Good Take, Int/Ext, Day/Night). So as a former DSLR user I really love the feature of adding Metadata to my clips in camera. With my switch to the BMPCC 4K I'm also switching from Adobe Premiere and After Effects to Davinci Resolve. So there's a lot to discover and I'm amazed by all the features and possibilities I've already seen. So I'm now diving into the world of equipment dedicated for filming. I saved money and a few days ago it arrived. Long story short, there she was, the BMPCC 4K. As I was looking around for a new camera, it was clear to me that I wanted a camera designed for filming, not a photography camera that has good filming capabilities. So I got a bit frustrated and unmotivated. And I definitely don't think equipment is the most important part of filmmaking, but there are moments, when you feel it's time to move on. I got to a point where I really started to see the limitations of my DSLR, especially the lack of dynamic range and no room to play with in post production and many more things.

Been doing some smaller movie projects for about 5 years now, like weddings, interviews and film festival submissions, stuff like that. I'm actually a very ambitious and "hungry" filmmaker, but haven't really found my voice/place/role yet in the world of filming. I'm new in this Blackmagic Design family.
